General:

Chicken Maison is not a one-off mom and pop store.  It is a local chain.  That struck my mind as I was eating my lunch there.  There were plenty of fast food preparation qualities that would have been unacceptable for a real restaurant but would probably be okay for an upper-echelon fast food place.  I will list those details below.  FYI, I beat the lunch crowd by 15 minutes.  So, these qualities weren't because of overcrowding, but they might be from the mass preparation anticipating the lunch crowd.  Nonetheless, there were some details that could be easily improved by them.

Overall, I am rating this place as a solid lunch fast food place, the way I'd rate, say, Boston Market. 3+ stars.

I hope that management reads this and would take my suggestions for improvements.

Details:

Quarter Chicken Combo, Maison Original with white meat. It came with a side salad, rice, pita, hummus, and fountain drink.

Pita: bulk purchased.  Served cold, not warmed.

Salad: lettuce and dice tomato.  Dressing was a Greek standard olive oil, lemon, and pepper.  Curiously missing was Feta cheese. Pretty straightforward like a home made.  Why rate it?

Rice: cooked in butter, herbs, and golden raisins.  Taste was good with coriander overtone.  However, texture was overly mushy.  Would have been a killer if they have paid attention to the details for a better texture. 3.5 stars.

Hummus: strong garlic and lemon acidity.  Again, taste was spot on.  However, texture wasn't what I expected as it was very smooth, almost like cream cheese thus no usual grittiness one would expect from hummus.  Mass preparation? 4+

Maison Original Chicken: a herbs-rubbed rotisserie preparation. Lightly salty with a hint of rosemary overtone.  Texture was quite juicy, but taste-wise wasn't special although solid. One reservation I had was that my chicken was served lukewarm and I came at 11:45 am on a weekday. 3 stars.
