General:
Yes, that really is the name of the place.
I came here to give the place a try. I ended up talking with one of the owners, Erin, extensively. She was very open to suggestions and took my 2 pennies worth seriously on improvements. She said she'd be there everyday so she'd encourage people to talk to her if they'd like to suggest or complain about their products and service.
The place was sparkling new and trendy with comfy sofas. So, this would actually be a place where you could hang out. Service went well for us but we also talked about how they could grease the wheel more as the place was sparkling new.
I will definitely come back here from time to time as I think this place has a potential. They serve a wide range of drinks from tea to slushies to smoothies to ice cream to shaved ice. They also serve snacks now, such as various wings, calamari, mushroom, fish stick, and even crab cake, that I have yet to try (and I will update my review).
They are still cooking (pun intended) for more offerings, both drink and food. So, keep an eye on them in weeks to come.
Oh BTW, 20% off for liking this place on Facebook. Erin also said that she would either make it right or refund the money if you didn't like your order. So, basically you don't have anything to lose to try. I suggest you to go with their Mango Smoothie.
Details:
Honey Jasmine Tea with Boba: very fragrant top notch Longan honey gave this drink a whole different nuance. A medium-good quality Jasmine tea. I suggested her to up the strength of the tea just because they used a very good quality Longan honey that needed a balanced dancing partner. For my tasting, the aroma of the Jasmine was a bit overpowered by the Longan. Boba here was top notch with a great chewiness (Erin was quite proud of their boba). It could have easily been a 4+ product with that minor easy tweaking which she said she'd do immediately. Tasted as is, it was at 4- stars in my book.
Durian Smoothie: REAL durian fortified with half and half. If you like durian, it would be that heavenly creamy aroma. The palate also backed the aroma with natural creaminess of the fruit fortified by the dairy. I suggested her to up the ante on the durian as well to give it a bit more kick. This could be had with boba, too. Again, 4- stars now but could have been easily 4+ or more.
Mango Smoothie: the star today. Erin was quite proud of this drink and was deservedly so. Fragrant fresh and fruity ripe mango aroma back with a balanced sweetness and light sourness of the fruit. Texture was quite creamy too backed with a tad of whole milk fortification. A mango smoothie done right. Loving it: highly recommended. This could also be had with boba, too. I will come back here for this. 4.5 stars.
